Do you love your community? Come out and support the Community Foundation’s Annual Giving Challenge on Friday, October 2, from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, at Northern Credit Union. The Kenora Rotary Club will be hosting a charity BBQ from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Donations can be made in person or online at www.klwcf.ca. Preparations are underway to recognize generous donors, inspiring grant recipients, and dedicated volunteers, through a live broadcast provided by Acadia Broadcasting. This event has raised over $500,000 for our endowment funds. Since 2004, the Community Foundation has distributed over $7 Million to charities in the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Region.

This year, the Community Foundation is challenging individuals, students, families, schools, sports teams, service clubs, the business community, lake residents, tourists, and everyone who loves the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Region, to consider making a gift. Contributions of $20 and greater will receive a charitable tax receipt. Today’s gifts will provide tomorrow’s grants” said Lynn McAughey, Executive Director. She added, “We invite everyone to help grow our communities and region during our Giving Challenge Day.”
