They are involved in every aspect of our work, from endowment fund development, to evaluating grant applications, to creating our financial policies and designing and supporting our fundraising activities. At the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Community Foundation, our volunteers mean the world to us and we want to take this opportunity to recognize and thank them for all their efforts in building up the charitable sector in the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Region.

Thank you Marie for joining the Board of Directors at our inception in 2004 and continuing to support us for twenty years. On November 30, 2024, Jess Rheault resigned from our Board of Directors to focus on family priorities and associated employment projects. Thank you Jess for leading our endowment fund committee and supporting our mission of helping to improve community living and the quality of life for citizens and visitors to the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Region.

At the Breakfast for Professionals event on February 26 2025, Claudine Cordeiro was recognized for serving nine years as our volunteer treasurer. Claudine went above and beyond during this time to ensure that the financial needs of the Community Foundation were met. This was especially apparent, during the challenging COVID period. Thank you Claudine for your many years of dedicated service to us.

Outgoing 2024 Board of Directors: James Williams, Claudine Cordeiro and Shannon Robinson received kind tributes and best wishes, from Board Members and staff at our Annual General Meeting on June 25, 2025.

Incoming 2025 Board of Directors: Peter Ratuski, Liana Berezowski and Dan Reynard were welcomed with enthusiasm to the Community Foundation at our AGM on June 2, 2025. Missing from the photo was Board of Director Lisa Devlin.

Executive Director Lynn McAughey celebrated the distribution of $505,000 in grants to the charitable sector in the Kenora and LOW Region, with outgoing and incoming Board Members.
