Thank you Kenora and Lake of the Woods for an incredible day of generosity on October 2! Our 2026 Giving Challenge now continues until December 31, 2026.
On October 2, we celebrated 22 years of philanthropy at the Kenora & Lake of the Woods Community Foundation’s Annual Giving Event and our community showed up in a big way. More than $125,000 was donated today to endowed funds at the Community Foundation! We appreciate the generosity of our donors, agency fund holders, partners, and volunteers. This is what community philanthropy looks like! Every dollar invested in an endowed fund helps build a lasting source of funding for local charities. Today’s gifts become tomorrow’s grants! A huge thank you to our matching donors: Anonymous Donors, Cookie Wicks and Gord and Amanda McCool, for helping inspire even more generosity and double the impact of today’s giving.
